Ensure you have Admin privileges for your Coursera account.

Get your Coursera API Credentials

Sign in to the Coursera Developer Portal

  1. Navigate to the Coursera Developer Portal
  2. Click the Sign In button in the upper-right corner
  3. Log in to your account at www.coursera.org and click Login With SAML
  4. Accept the terms and conditions if prompted
If the top-right still shows “Sign in” after logging in via SAML, click the Sign In button again.

Register an App

  1. Click your email address in the upper-right corner and choose Apps from the dropdown

  2. Click + New App in the top-right corner of the Apps page
    3. + New App
  3. Add a name and description for the new app and choose one or more APIs in the APIs section and click Enable to activate them
    4. Save App
  4. Click Save button to create an app.
  5. To view an API key or secret, click the Show Secret button in the Credentials section
    6. Show Credentials
Please use your organization’s admin account to register apps to ensure you don’t encounter any access issues.

Find your Organization ID

  1. Click your email address in the upper-right corner and choose Admin from the dropdown
  2. Click Settings in the right sidebar

Linking your Coursera Account

Enter Credentials

In the hub, go to the Coursera tile.
  • Enter your Client ID (app key), Client Secret (app secret), and Organization ID from the Coursera Developer Portal
Click the Connect button to proceed.
