Tableau
Follow these steps to connect Tableau via the StackOne Hub successfully.
Ensure you have Site Administrator Creator privileges for your Tableau account.
If you’ve been directed to StackOne to integrate with Tableau, the following steps will help you understand the process and any necessary actions to configure successful integration.
Get Your Tableau URL details
Find Your Server URL and Content URL
Your Server URL and Content URL are found in the URL when you are logged in to your Tableau Cloud account.
Example given the URL: https://prod-uk-a.online.tableau.com/#/site/devb73211b483/users
- Server URL:
https://prod-uk-a.online.tableau.com
- Content URL:
devb73211b483
Get Your Tableau Personal Access Token
Access My Account Settings
When logged in to your Tableau Cloud account, click your profile icon in the top right, then click My Account Settings.
Create Personal Access Token
Under Settings, scroll down to Personal Access Tokens. Enter a Name for your new Token, then click the Create Token button.
Copy Token Details
Copy your displayed Token Name and Secret and store them safely. Click the Done button when complete.
Connecting with StackOne
Enter URL and Access Token Details
Upon reaching the Link Account page, enter the URL and Access Token details from the previous steps:
- Personal Access Token Name
- Personal Access Token Secret
- Content URL
- Server URL
Connect
Proceed by clicking the Connect button.
